The House of Omni has developed an online social community for artists, Body Of Art. The website is the brainchild of life model Leon Coburg, who wants to create a community which allows artists and art lovers worldwide to connect, share views and showcase their work.
Designed to act as a platform for little-known and renowned artists alike, the site allows users to create their own profile and exhibit artwork online in unlimited galleries; as well as keep up-to-date with art based events and exhibitions. The Resources section lists contacts under art colleges, art supplies, exhibitions and galleries.
The community website has a target of 25,000 registered users by the end of its first year, reflecting the rise in niche online social networking, which offers more bespoke functionality with a greater appeal to target interest groups.
