Python Developer Job
Based in Django
The House of Omni are a digital agency working with many clients on a multiple websites and applications. We are looking for a web developer with the following skills base:
- 1-2 years experience of Python
- Linux competent (Ideally with Redhat RPM)Good to have hands on Apache and Nginx experience, configuring + optimising bothMySQL database administration
- JQuery
- Some Flash experience would be handy but not essential
- Some XML experience handy but not essential
- Some CSS and HTML experience handy but not essential
- Comfortable with configuring records such as A, MX and CNAME if needed
We are stil interested in hearing from you if you have only had Web2py, Zope, Pylons, Turbogears or Plone but all with Python language but you should be aware that we are working in Django, and the more experience you have with that framework the better.
Salary will be based on experience levels.
Job info:
- Holiday includes 20 days per year (Not including bank holidays)
- Pension scheme is available
- Bonuses given on profitable jobs
- Overtime available some weekends if needed at time and a half
- 1 hr for lunch + breaks when head hurts from coding
- 2x days a month are available if needed for training on new technologies
Other valuable skills could include:
- Able to talk to clients if needed
- Good at playing Table Tennis will help but not essential :-)
- Good taste in music
- Up for pastries on Friday morning and an office drink on Friday afternoons before finishing work
- Happy to finish work at 17:00 on Fridays
NOTE: Tea politics have been dealt with using an iPhone app to auto select who will be making it so don't worry too much about that.
