Web Developer Job Opening
Using Django Framework

The House of Omni are a digital agency working with many clients on multiple websites and applications. We are looking for a new full-time web developer to join our team and help support us with some really nice projects which are coming up.

We want you to be passionate about your work, be engaged with new technology, get excited by more effective and efficient code, best practice and working with the team here to create the best user experience possible.

We are hoping to secure someone for this full time position with the following skills base:

  • At least 8-12 months experience of Python (preferably using Django which is our core development framework)
  • Linux competent (Ideally with Redhat RPM) Good to have hands on Apache and Nginx experience, configuring + optimising both MySQL database administration
  • JQuery experience
  • Some Flash experience would be handy but not essential
  • Some XML experience handy but not essential
  • A good understanding of CSS and HTML
  • PHP Experience
  • Able to chat to clients if needed as we are an open company and don't hide developers away in a dark room

Salary will be based on experience levels.


Job info:

  • Holiday includes 20 days per year, 1 day extra added every year
  • All bank holidays are not included in holiday time.

  • 1 hr for lunch + and extra breaks when head hurts from coding
  • 2x days a month are available if needed for training on new technologies

  • Good at Table Tennis will help but not essential :-)
  • We finish work at 17:00 on Fridays

NOTE: Tea politics have been dealt with using an iPhone app to auto select who will be making it so don't worry too much about that.

NOTE 02: We are also looking to hear from you if you freelance in Django or work on a contract basis so that we can quickly expand when needed.
