Developers applying to work with our in-house dev team will have a deep understanding of Python and the Django framework and a cross section of some of the below skills base:

  • Python (Ideally 2 years)
  • Django
  • MySQL
  • JavaScript
  • X/HTML and CSS
  • XML
  • jQuery
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS
  • Apache 2.2
  • Knowledge of running Python/Django apps under mod_wsgi
  • Version control - preferably SVN or Git
  • Knowledge of virtual environments
  • Comfortable on Mac and PC
  • Other desirable knowledge and skills:
  • Nginx
  • HTML 5 and CSS3 useful but not essential
  • Some Photoshop useful but not essential
  • Knowledge of API’s (e.g. Google Maps)
  • Payment gateway experience useful (PayPal, SecureTrading and PayPoint.net)
